Old Town Orcutt
Cow Pasture

The Orcutt Cow Art Project began in 2017 when an anonymous local artist started placing colorfully painted wooden cow cutouts throughout Old Town Orcutt. These whimsical cows, each uniquely designed, appeared outside shops and homes along Clark Avenue, surprising and delighting area residents.

The cows have become a beloved symbol of community spirit, with locals embracing their presence. The Old Town Orcutt Cow Pasture tradition continues with the latest herd of 11 cows (6 mamas and 5 calves).

Did you know that you can Adopt-A-Cow?

Support the charm and community spirit of Old Town Orcutt by adopting a cow through OTORA’s Cow Pasture Art Project! For a $1,500 donation, you can adopt a full-sized “Big Mama” cow, or choose a $500 baby calf, each brought to life by a local artist who will be assigned to your project.

Your business or family will be recognized with a logo or name on the back of your sponsored cow, proudly displayed in Old Town Orcutt. Proceeds benefit the Old Town Orcutt Revitalization Association (OTORA), helping fund improvements, events, and beautification efforts throughout the town.
